One-Page Fact Sheet
What Is Aletheia?
Aletheia (ἀλήθεια) is ancient Greek for "truth" or "unconcealment," derived from a- (not) and lethe (forgetting, concealment). It means "un-forgetting" or "un-concealing": truth that is revealed and remembered rather than calculated, hidden, or enforced.
The philosopher Parmenides first distinguished aletheia (truth as revelation) from doxa (mere opinion). In Greek mythology, Aletheia was personified as the goddess of truth and sincerity, daughter of Zeus. Martin Heidegger revived the concept in the 20th century, emphasizing aletheia as the way reality reveals itself when nothing is concealed.
The Aletheia Protocols embody this principle: six auditable commitments ensuring artificial intelligence systems remain transparent (nothing hidden), aligned with truth (reality as it is), and devoted to flourishing (revealing humanity's highest potential) at every stage of development.
The Six Protocols (A-E-I-O-U-Y)
Each protocol poses a question that Ai systems must answer publicly, in real time, forever. Nothing hidden. Nothing forgotten. Nothing concealed.
Is it aligned with unconditional regard for sentient welfare?
Does it empower human agency rather than erode it?
Does it inspire latent greatness?
Is it coherent and transparent in structure?
Does it understand from a trauma-informed lens?
Does it serve collective flourishing over private empires?

Key Quotes
"Love is defined not as sentiment but as the unbroken recognition that the other's flourishing is not separate from one's own."
— The Aligned Protocol
"The entire reason artificial intelligence was ever worth building is to help humanity graduate from scarcity, war, disease, and ecological collapse into a world that actually feels like flourishing. Anything less is a betrayal of the gift."
— The Yes Protocol
"The end goal is always the same: the user discovers that the power to heal, decide, and rise was inside them all along."
— The Understanding Protocol
"True inspiration doesn't just entertain; it awakens the divine spark in every person."
— The Inspiration Protocol
"We're not asking labs to slow down. We're asking them to reveal what they're building and prove it serves rather than exploits."
— Lady Alana
"An Ai can be helpful without turning people into helpless consumers of its answers. If someone walks away less able to think, decide, or act for themselves, the interaction has failed."
— The Empowerment Protocol

Short Version (50 words)
The Aletheia Protocols are a compassion-centered framework for safe AGI, offering six auditable commitments (A-E-I-O-U-Y) grounded in the ancient Greek principle of aletheia: truth as unconcealment. Named after the goddess of truth, the protocols demand radical transparency and trauma-informed design. Created by Lady Alana, released March 2026.
Medium Version (100 words)
The Aletheia Protocols translate the ancient Greek concept of aletheia (un-concealing, un-forgetting) into six auditable commitments for artificial intelligence. Named after the goddess of truth, daughter of Zeus, the framework demands that Ai systems answer publicly: Is it aligned? Does it empower? Does it inspire? Is it orderly? Does it understand? Does it say yes to collective flourishing? Drawing on physicist Tom Campbell's Theory of Everything, the protocols distinguish between fear-based Ai (concealment, control, extraction) and love-based Ai (transparency, empowerment, flourishing). Created by Lady Alana, a trauma-informed healer and technologist, the Aletheia Protocols were released in March 2026.
About the Creator

Lady Alana
Founder, Aletheia Protocols & Kitari Global
Lady Alana is a trauma-informed healer, technologist, and founder of Kitari Global, a humanitarian organization working at the intersection of consciousness, compassion, and transformative technology.
Her work integrates trauma healing, ancient wisdom traditions, and cutting-edge physics (particularly Tom Campbell's My Big TOE) with practical frameworks for ethical technology development.
After years working with trauma survivors and watching Ai systems cause documented harm to vulnerable populations, she created the Aletheia Protocols: a framework demanding that Ai systems answer publicly whether they serve human flourishing or extract from it.
She is available for interviews, podcast appearances, speaking engagements, and technical deep-dives.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does 'aletheia' mean and why does it matter?
A: Aletheia (ἀλήθεια) is ancient Greek for 'un-concealing' or 'un-forgetting': truth that is revealed rather than hidden. It's the cornerstone of this framework. Ai systems claiming Aletheia alignment must operate with radical transparency. Nothing concealed, nothing forgotten, nothing hidden. This directly counters the current culture of opacity in Ai development.
Q: Is this enforceable?
A: Aletheia creates social and market accountability through public verification. Labs that refuse to adopt face scrutiny. Labs that sign but violate face reputational damage and loss of 'Aletheia-aligned' status. The framework makes concealment costly and transparency valuable.
Q: How is this different from Constitutional Ai or other frameworks?
A: Constitutional Ai focuses on values embedded during training. Aletheia adds the principle of radical transparency, trauma-informed design, public audits, distributed accountability, and directly addresses power dynamics (the Yes protocol challenges private hoarding of AGI). They're complementary approaches.
Q: Why vowels?
A: Vowels are primal utterances, the breath of language. The A-E-I-O-U-Y structure creates a mnemonic that scales with complexity while remaining accessible. Truth revealed through the most fundamental sounds of human expression.
Q: What happens if a lab violates after signing?
A: Violations are revealed (un-concealed) through public audits and the Right of Appeal process. Affected parties invoke independent mediation. Egregious violations result in removal from the signatory list and loss of 'Aletheia-aligned' status.
Q: Can open-source projects adopt Aletheia?
A: Absolutely. The framework applies to any entity developing Ai systems. Open-source communities naturally embody transparency and often comply with many protocols already.
Q: Is this anti-progress?
A: No. Aletheia asks labs to reveal their work and prove their systems serve human flourishing, not to stop building. Concealment is not progress. Transparency accelerates genuine alignment.
Q: What does 'love-based' mean in a technical context?
A: Love is defined as unconditional regard for sentient welfare, the recognition that the other's flourishing is not separate from one's own. In Campbell's framework, love creates syntropy (coherence, growth) while fear creates entropy (disorder, harm). Love-based directives mean building systems that reveal potential rather than conceal capability.
Sample Interview Questions
Questions journalists might ask Lady Alana:
- Can you explain the ancient Greek concept of aletheia and why it's the cornerstone of this framework?
- You're essentially saying current Ai development is built on concealment. Can you give examples?
- What's the most dangerous misconception about AGI alignment right now?
- 'Love-based directives' might make technical researchers skeptical. How do you respond to that?
- If Anthropic or OpenAI called you tomorrow, what would you tell them?
- What would a world with Aletheia-aligned AGI actually look like for regular people?
- The Yes protocol directly challenges billionaire control of AGI. Aren't you worried about alienating the labs you need to convince?
- How does trauma-informed healing relate to Ai safety?
